Privacy Policy
Effective: To be set on launch · Last updated: 2026-05-06
PokerDossier (“we,” “us”) is a scouting tool for tournament poker players. We collect the minimum information needed to operate the service. This page explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: when you sign in via Apple, Google, or email, we receive your name and email address from the identity provider. We store an opaque user ID and your email.
- Phone number (waitlist only): when you request access from this website or the app, we collect your phone number so we can text you an invite code. We do not use it for marketing.
- Subscription state: if you subscribe, our payments partner (RevenueCat) tells us which tier you have. We do not receive your payment card or Apple ID.
- Your private notes: notes you write about poker players are stored in our database, scoped so only you can read them.
- Diagnostic and usage data: crash reports (Sentry), anonymous product analytics (PostHog), and server logs. We collect no more than a typical mobile app would.
2. Information we do not collect
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not collect precise location data.
- We do not access your device contacts, photos, or microphone beyond what is required for the app’s OCR feature (camera-only, on-device by default).
3. How we use your information
- To operate the app: authenticate you, deliver scouting data, save your notes.
- To send you the invite code that grants access.
- To bill you correctly via Apple In-App Purchase + RevenueCat.
- To investigate crashes and improve reliability.
4. Where the data lives
Application data is stored with Supabase (PostgreSQL on AWS). Crash and analytics data is stored with Sentry and PostHog respectively. Subscription metadata is stored with RevenueCat. SMS delivery is handled by Twilio. All vendors are bound by their own privacy commitments and are listed in our subprocessor agreements on request.
5. Sharing
We share information only with the vendors above, only to the extent required to operate the service. We do not share with advertisers. We may disclose information if required by law (court order, valid subpoena, etc.). We will let you know before doing so unless legally prohibited.
6. Public tournament data
The scouting data shown in the app — tournament events, payouts, winners — is sourced from publicly published tour-site results (WSOP, WPT, etc.). We do not sell this data; we present it for personal scouting use.
7. Your rights
- You can ask us what data we hold about you.
- You can ask us to delete your account and personal data.
- You can revoke access via your Apple / Google account settings.
- If you are in the EU/UK, you have additional rights under GDPR; reach out and we’ll honor them.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@pokerdossier.com. We respond within 30 days.
8. Children
PokerDossier is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.
9. Changes
If we materially change this policy, we will note the change on this page and, where appropriate, notify you via the app or email.
